Your Own Kind of Wonderful card

Hello! Hello! Tomorrow I am hosting a Close To My Heart open house featuring the new catalog! We will be making this fun card at it. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have challenged myself to use the same stamp sets for all my events this month. It is helping me come to love them more :).
You are invited to join me for my open house. It will be tomorrow, Saturday August 9th from 10-3.

For this card, I used:
CTMH white daisy, Thistle, and this Crystal blue cardstocks

CTMH Honeycomb stamp set
CTMH black, lagoon, pear, thistle and sunflower (discontinued) dye inks
CTMH quatrefoil embossing folder

Fun & Sun CTMH scrapbook layout

Hello! Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  I am so excited about this layout.  I have to be honest, though.  I had to walk away from it for a few days because I couldn't quite get my vision of it to come together.  I have several pieces of paper that got set aside (lol).  I will use them for something else :).

We will be creating this at my monthly Scrapbook Club this month.  I am challenging myself to do ALL my gatherings, open houses, clubs, events with the same stamp sets. It has been really fun and also challenging; however, it is getting easier now that I have created several projects with the same stamps.  If you have been visiting my blog on a regular basis, can you tell what stamp sets and colors we're using this month?

I am using CTMH's new "Your Own Kind of Wonderful", "Happy Hexagons", and "Honeycomb" sets. The color pallette is CTMH's Whimsy line.  This includes two of their new colors: thistle (purple) and glacier (pale blue).

I have fallen in love with the quaterfoil embossing folder.  I can't seem to get enough of it.  So, I am using it alot in this month's projects.  It is featured in this layout.

To create the 3D butterflies, I simply folded each butterfly in half and then spread CTMH's liquid glass on the crease on the back side.  Wah lah! Simply lay it where you want it and wait for it to dry.

Since I haven't put the photos on this layout yet, you don't see the Flip Flaps, but they will be a part of this layout as well.  I have been dying to try them out ever since I watched a training video about them.  I have several customers who wanted to see them in action :).

If you have any questions, just leave a comment.  I'd love to hear from you.  What did you like about my layout?  If you'd like to join me for this event, let me know. Hope you have a wonderful day! -Dari
